Widening of NDT training and attestation centers activity field in system of certification of specialists for NDT of objects supervised by Gosgorpromnadzor of Ukraine. Certificate of competence obtainment.

As things go nowadays in Ukraine it requires taking cardinal measures to provide sufficient safety and reliability of machines, mechanisms and equipment in service, being operated significant time, in many cases exceeding by far the estimation time. Foremost it concerns the increased danger equipment such as steam and hot-water boilers, pressure vessels, main pipelines, petrochemical system equipment, load lifting mechanisms. It should be noted that the amount of equipment with estimation time being expired is steadily increasing and it results in efforts increase to provide its safety in service. These efforts are mainly connected with inspection amount gain of different equipment pieces. As it is the personnel qualification plays crucial role for NDT of increased danger equipment using different techniques since the possibilities, terms and conditions of this equipment further service are based on the NDT results.
So far as it is known the personnel certification is most effective method of providing and supporting the NDT personnel qualification. This certification system is widely used in native and foreign practice and is necessary for the specialists for NDT of the increased danger objects, supervised by Gosgorpromnadzor of Ukraine. In certification system of the specialists for NDT of objects, supervised by Gosgorpromnadzor of Ukraine are working training center of “Ultracon – Service” (from the year 2001) and attestation center of SPC “Prompribor” (from the year 2005), being responsible for training and attestation of the specialists in the field of ultrasonic method for NDT in the industrial sectors 1-5; 6; 7, 8, 10, 11, 14, 15 in conformity with NPAOP 0.00-1.27-97. There was made a decision to expand field of activity of training center and NDT attestation center by VT, MT, PT, ET methods in industrial sectors 1-5; 6; 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15 owing to inspection amount gain of increased danger equipment and the use of new equipment and test devices for these purposes to meet the requirements of industry in qualified personnel for NDT in 2006.

 

 

To implement this decision a large volume of preliminary work was done in the course of the year 2007. As a result in November, 2007 training center and NDT attestation center were given by OSP “Prombezopasnost” the certificates, confirming their competence in training and attestation of the specialists of 1st and 2nd proficiency levels in the following NDT methods and production sectors:

TRAINING AND ATTESTATION BASE OF TRAINING CENTER AND NDT ATTESTATION CENTER:

•    Is provided with the up-dated test equipment and devices intended for NDT, which satisfy the requirements of native and foreign standards and regulations  
(ultrasonic flaw detectors – UD2-70, UD3-71, UD4-76, thickness gauges TDM-1 and TDM-2, eddy current flaw detectors VD-30-NK, VD-3-71, VD-131-ND “Inspektor” and other instruments) and other necessary additional equipment.
•    Is provided with topical training and methodical materials, visual aid, video films, computer programs for training and examination of specialists.
•    Is stuffed with qualified teachers and examiners, proficient for NDT of objects, supervised by Gosgorpromnadzor of Ukraine.
•    The designers of the NDT means and methods participate in process of the specialists training and ensure the personnel qualitative training.
•    We invite to cooperation all comers to be qualified for NDT of increased danger objects.
